First,you must clearify for wich model you need sst & firmware.

can i use the sst or firmware without connecting machine (only with pc)?

The SST needs to be installed on your computer. Then the firmware needs to be installed and registered for the machine. Then you have to hook up the PC to the copier according to the UPgrade procedures for the model you are up grading.

Hi there, I'm having trouble flashing ir 6020, got erro 602-003 so I connected my copier to my pc with parallel cable, used ALL_HDF to clear everything from the HD but somehow the process failed and got me stuck at "Downloading...", after 10 minutes I decided to turn off the copier and turn it on again but somehow after doing that my copier can't star again, the display is stuck at a black screen and pressing 2 & 8 wouldn't get it at download mode.

Can someone help or suggest something to do?

First Make sure u have only one version of SST on PC or Laptop --

I don't know what u were trying to accomplish -

1-install new HDD ?
2-upgrade printer ver. ?
3-relaod/overwrite currant printer ver .?

what ver. of iR5020 Firmware do u have registered in SST ?

if u intend to upgrade the iR5020> u don't select ALL_HDF
if u are replacing the HDD> u first need to FORMAT it under HD FORMAT

the latest version for iR5020 SERIES is v59.51-
in that version
The ALL & ALL_HDF files have not been created or added to the System Software due to issues during testing of the firmware. Please flash the software using the “Single” link in SST

there is no SINGLE link selection in v59.51 in latest SST > u use the START ASSIST mode in SST middle menu

The ALL file is meant for re-installation of software onto a machine that already contains a working system (i.e. Download Mode in Service Mode can be entered).

The ALL_HDF is intended for use when a HDD has been formatted with HDFormat or when a new service part HDD has been installed (i.e. there is no working system installed).

remove cable & shut down SST
now try this > power off printer> hold down 1 & 9 keys>while holding keys>power up printer>keep holding 1 & 9 until it starts to DEFRAG (white boxes falling) wait until it finishes > either it will go into DOWNLOAD > that is good / if e602 pops u may need a new HDD/

if u are lucky to see DOWNLOAD> power off printer >power back up printer
let me know what u are trying to do ????
