I noticed an uneven density from front to back. The back being lighter in density.
This was not noticed by the customer. What he noticed was the background
on the copy through the feeder.
I'm not quite sure what is causing this, I have check the dv unit, even coating of toner and collars
sorta clean. I cleaned 'em. The drum was polished 6 months ago when I replaceld the coronas.
The chargers looked clean except the pre-transfer, I may have a scraper for it. I cleaned the erase
lamp that was not dirty. Dusted the optics. It stopped long enough for me to get down the road
about 5 miles. I hate when that happens.
The feeder appears to sit flush with the glass. One other thing, the original recognition off the glass
is not working.
My customer hand scanned 200 pages so he could run the job. He ran it all and said it came out good.
He had some old photos for a year book. Class of 1959 from the looks of the people.
I will have to see this machine next week.
Has anyone else ever seen these symptoms on the IR 6000?
Thanks
DR
