E067 0100 is usually the drum life, check the drum life under misc in display in service mode, if at 80% or more replace the drum & should cure your problem, also check & clean the patch sensor ( lives between the drum unit & itb assy)(can be seen if the drum unit is removed)

For the E020 problem. If I remember correctly, there's a procedure for initializing the new dev units also. I think they're found under Copier>Function>Install. I believe it's, Supply All,then Stir All, Followed by Init All. You select all because you have replaced all the Dev Units. You would select the single unit if you only replaced one. You also Check your densities at Copier>DENS. Densities for each color, including K should be at approximately +/- 1.5. Don't get crazy trying to make them all go to 1.5 though. I may be wrong on the 3100. I know for sure the C3200 and the C6800 stick pretty close to that number, but the 3100 doesn't. This is the work you should do for the E020. Also check and clean the Patch Sensor as LadyBird said. Stick to her input for the E067.

Good Luck and let us know how it went.

How long did it sit while running that utility? It takes a little while. You have to make sure the machine is at ready when you start it too. If it ran for a while already, don't do it again. Initialize and let the machine run. Run 50 color prints and then check the test pattern color and the density values. If the test pattern looks good, leave it and just note the E020 codes in the future. When and if they come, check the density level and let us know what it was.

            Good luck.

If the machine is in an error condition, it won't operate. If you notice in the top right corner of the screen, it'll say "Error". That condition has to state "Ready", or something of that nature for the machine to perform an operation. Which error code are you getting after the boot operation?

If you haven't done it already, replace the density sensor, the drum and if you can get the machine to stay up, run seperate sky shots of each color to reduce the density in each of the housings. If these don't work, do a D-CON, M-CON, R-CON CLEAR. Make sure the machines system software and firmware is up to date. Replace the DC-Controller. Do these things in order if one doesn't fix the problem, do the next. You have already replaced the Dev Units so I won't suggest replacing the Starters. From there I really couldn't tell you where to go without being there. Make sure all your durable items are up to date. I believe there's an erase lamp that sits to the upper left side of the drum. Check the operation of that and replace if necessary.

Good luck and let us know how you made out.

HaHa! You escaped the clutches of the dreaded C3100 Family. Watch out, cause they'll Never Give Up until they get you!!!!

That model is a headache and one of the worst machines to ever come out of Japan!

Glad you were spared the Migraine.

I'm not familiar withthat model, but it looks like the iR330-400 series, which I don't know where to get software for. I beleive those models are for the overseas market anyway. You should post a request and see if any of the other guys from europe or australia have the software.

                              Sorry and good luck.
