    Canon pc920 transformer

I'm a long-time tv tech. Only try to fix my own copiers. Customer gave me a Canon PC920 that's dead. His neutral line on supply feeding the house opened. Fried almost everything in the house. The copier fuses OK, The traces on main boad (FG6-3791) feeding power to T600 were fried. Primary of T600 fried. Question. Would T600 be available or is this like a TV setup and require a board replacement if available. What I would like to do is replace the transformer. I could figure out the output of T600 but thought possibly someone might have a service manual that could clue me in on the voltage. Guess I'm being lazy on my own stuff.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dale

    Buy new.

    Dale,
Most copier techs don't repair at board level. Either we send the board in for board repair, or order new. On a few occasions I've gotten lucky swapping obviously smoked components. Canon does sell board level components, but you'll wait forever to get them.
My best advice for you is buy new or advance exchange. Plenty of other components may be blown. Most customers don't have much patience for long drawn out repairs.
    Good Luck!
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Blackcat4866,
Thanks for the response. Not sure which direction I'm going to go. Will check on price of replacement board to start.
Will try to post with my results a little later.
      Thanks again,
      Dale
