Main Switch
You could have a bad main power switch. It's relatively common for those switches to start to arc. Are any codes being stored, but not displayed?
Second choice DC Power Supply. I've never replaced one, but then NP-3050's weren't 12 years old when I was working on them.
Third choice is Transfer/ Separation HVT Cable. Have you had any quality issues?
Fourth choice DC Controller. If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes, once again the Cat is on the right track. It definately sounds like you have a short and/or arcing problem somewhere in the machine. After 12 years and 230K, where will be the Bitch to find out. The suggestions the Cat made are the most likely areas to start. I just hope you don't have a pinched wire somewhere in one of the harnesses. Good luck and keep us posted as to your progress.Comment
