Service Menu code for IR C3200

    Hello all,

New here but it seems like a great resource to get to know my new C3200 copier

Actually, it's the CLC3200 I have (I believe it's pretty much the same as the IR C3200) - I was just wondering how I can get into the service menu to check the drum life, as I'm getting a lot of yellow background toning and believe the drum might be on the way out (unless anyone has any other ideas?). I also ran a full gradation adjustment and cleaning cycle.

u need to press *28*. under copier, display check the misc option. depends what kind of printing has been going on but if its 200 or above u might start having issues with that specific colour. in saying that im busily changing a drum now thats up to 440 weyhey is backround on copies and prints, if its just copies clean the optics. if its both sounds like your drum is knackered...change it

      Hi DJ,

Thanks - I'd seen the *28* code but that doesn't seem to do anything on my copier, I tried keying it in sequentially and also holding *+2+8 but it doesn't show anything different or a misc option. Is it maybe different code needed for the CLC?

nope i work on em all the time. its definately *28* try pushing * then 2 and while holding down 2 then press eight then * again. theres no need to push at the same time. if this doesnt work push the yellow button on the control panel first then try again that sometimes helps

Thanks Dj, I still can't seem to get this working for some reason!

I'm doing it from the Copy tab, hitting * once, holding 2, press 8, releasing 2/8 then pressing star again. Also tried in sequence *,2*8*,*. Tried all this pressing the yellow tab too

Please try this way.press *,press 2 and 8 TOGETHER IE SAME TIME.Let go of 2 and 8 and press * again.Do not hold 2 and 8 for too long only a second or two.
              Hope this helps.

Thanks Rambo, but I just can't get this working for some reason!

All the other keys seem to function fine so I can't see why the * wouldn't be ok.
