    Color network scangear problem

    Hi, there
    I am scanning color document by using color scangear to IRC3220, but i got message:"Scanning has been canceled because the scanner data size exceeds the maxim for the scanner." If i scan b&W, it's working. So, i don't know the hard disk is full or some other reasons? How can i solve it?
    Thanks

    Maybe look at additional functions, network settings, communications settings,email/ifax settings. Some where on that page will have a selection for maximum data size. Set it to 99 and see if that helps

          Hi, 11x17
          Thanks for ur info. But, I found there is no Email/I-fax setting on IRC 3220. So, I could not change scan data size on it. The problem is scanning B&W working fine, as long as I switch to colour, I will get "...over size..." message. I don't know it is related to the Hard Drive or not?

            version

            using "color network scangear"?
            what version? 2.1?
            when you say switch to color, do you mean "now using a color original" or something else like changing a setting?
            I know it sounds stupid but just curious how you do it, if its any different than some others do it. I am not sure at this moment how to resolve but i think i would start with correct version, remove any older version, check main controller connectors and re seat memory. say, does it do it when scanning, copying, say 20 sheets of paper in the doc feeder set to black and white then try color? if so does error 220 come up after that? if so then main controller is probably the culprit.

              scangear problem

              try dropping the resoloution to 300 x 300
              max size for a scan is 5 meg have had this problem before you can change the setting but it slows up network trafic big style

              lowering res normally works for me

                Hi, all
                I am using Color Network Scangear V2.2 to scan color document. When i select B&W,300 or higher, It works fine. But when i select Full color,200 even 75, it will grab paper from the feeder, then give me message.
                I tried same laptop with same program on other IRC3220s without any problem, so I think could be something wrong with this machine.

                  maybe just need to reload system software with newest version,or is that the same on all the other machines too? it could have got corrupted, but then again have you even tried any of the other suggestions? helps to narrow things down. when all else is not a factor any more it might be easier to resolve. not being in front of the machine we cant push any buttons, so you have to do the work for us. do a service mode check on the memory, is it the same as the others? are all the scan settings the same as the others. do a print out to look at the settings. since you have others, see if you see anything that is different than the other machines. print one from a good machine and one from the problem. If you do a printout first and all the asy stuff has been done, then maybe an mmi clear might be a choice. remember to put settings back in again. so be sure to print out all specs, data first before clearing anything. p-print etc. also r-con clear but re-enter specs, or it will not be the right color settings for the lens. each lens has its own color settings.
