        think so

I think after each scan it ask a question yes or no,if you have the scangear window open. Seems like the answer to chose is yes. Also if you select doc feeder instead of platen (you do have a choice) then just place a stack in the doc feeder and scan. Should end up with one file.
which program are you using? adobe, microsoft imaging, word 2003 etc.

how ever the network scangear cannot convert or save as as PDF file. you need software like adobe acrobat profesional 7. this software integrated with most scanner, including scangear..

i forget or you can use this simply software :

steps 1 : put the original in the feeder
            2 : scan - online
3 : go to the PC
4 : use the software you have usually you scan your project
5 : save ( whatever extension) TIFF, doc, xl,
6 : after you installation software "cuteprinter"
7 : then print, choose cuteprinter, who is the virtual printer.
            8 : now, how it's look....
            9 : have a try.....

              pdf

Cutpdf is a good one and pdfcreator works also. You can get these and a couple more for free at filehippo.com.
Like the United States Postal Service It's a miracle it works!
