    How are you configuring it?

Are you plugging it directly into a wirleless Router?

      wireless

if if its plugged into a router will work no problem just make sure the ip address subnet and gateway all ok other devices should then see it

if your using a wireless bridge the bridge needs a seperate ip address than the copier as the both need there own ip address subnet gateway

then configure same way as any other wireless device

there is no setrting need changing on the xcopier just basic wireless setting up

donew hundreds of them no problems unless you forgot the wep/wap key if the use one or the using mac filtering or they blocking certain ip ranges need i go on

        thank you copyguy & welshman

the problem is the client have both wireless and cable network now the cable is already in the Ethernet port and the want to connect the wireless thru an access point /usb we tried it but any time the machine goes to standby the USB doesn't work any ideas. but i will agree with u on connecting it thru a wireless router. Let me also say their network admin. doesn't know anything abt these mfp. Any ideas

Use a wireless BRIDGE. not a router. Setup the wireless bridge and then connect the ethernet port on the bridge to the ethernet port on the copier and you are good to go. No need to change the ip address of the copier or workstations.

A router will want to do Network Address Translation (NAT). Basically using one address scheme on one side and a different scheme on the other. Suffice it to say its a headache you dont want to get into.

I have done this for a native band thats about a 2 hour drive away and have not had any problems (touch wood). Just train the customer that if they have any print problems to reboot the router and the bridge before calling you.
