    np6025 pages dark/dirty

I don't have a manual for our np6025 and they want me to fix the dark pages.
Originally the whole page was just black, I've cleaned the scanner mirrors and it's 90% better but I'm still getting what looks like dirt on the whole page. If I lighten it up two notches it's ok but on "auto" it's dirty.
I'm new to "copiers", I usually fix Pc's, printers, etc. and I don't have a manual for this machine. Not sure where to start or better yet where to find everything and how to get to it.
Can someone give me some steps to follow or where I might get a manual?

there is a mirror above the drum unit. if you didn't pull out the slit glass and clean the mirror, that may very well solve your problem.

"if you didn't pull out the slit glass and clean the mirror"
OK, this is where I don't know...what is the "slit glass"?
I removed the scanner glass (?), the flat bed glass and cleaned 3 mirrors underneith that. 2 in a "V" formation to the left and 1 under the lamp.
      Is there another one?

      Thanks for the reply,
      brad

there are two more under the black cover below the glass on the right hand side and other split glass is above the drum (which has to be removed to get to it...) the mirror is above that kind of hard to get to and see...

Thanks gentlemen for your assistance and speedy replies. I found the mirrors you mentioned, under the black cover and above the drum.
I now have a little more experience in a Canon copier and it is printing out OK. Again, thank you for your help.

My criterion for cleaning the blanking assembly has been 1 year, regardless of number of copies. Just be careful with the cables on the blanking reflectors. They come off fairly easily and are not so easy to get re-installed.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

in addition if you see small lines close to the edge of your copies, then your drum is bad. I have made it go farther with an adjustment to the bias N i think it was. Has been a while. best just to do as mentioned first if those fail just replace the drum and then do the auto drum adjustment.
