Shared C3200 - How to Default to B&W on Client PCs?

Ok, just got a call from a customer, they want to default all client PC's to print B&W, forcing the user to switch to Color if/when they need it. I told him that the only way I knew was to go around to each client and change the default color mode to "Black and White" in the quality Tab.

He didnt like this idea, stating that there must be SOME way to default it on the shared instance of the printer on the server, and then push it out to all of the clients. Is there?

I just tried the following, with no success:

    1. Set Color mode to "Black and White" on the server share, and then readded to the client. Color Mode on client = Auto Detect still

    2. Set Color Mode to Black and White on server share and then "Got Device Status" from client. Still says Auto Detect

    3. Created a profile on the server share and readded printer to client. No luck.

    4. Went to the Remote User: Add Fun. -> Custom Settings -> Printer Settings and changed the Color Mode to "Black and White". Restarted the copier. Nothing. What is that supposed to do anyways? POS!

    I'm out of ideas... anyone?

On the server set the default settings to B/W. All workstations on the share inherit the settings.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

On the server right click on the driver and from the advanced tab choose printing defaults then change to black and white. Have the clients pull the driver back down.
