Re: hp color lj 4700
You mean when you make a print, the blank side of the paper is getting dirty? Or do you mean the 2nd side of a duplex print?
I would look toward the fuser... unless you're using a refurb transfer unit. These transfer units aren't reliable when they're refurbed.
Also, look at the stickers on the toner ctgs... the labels. Sometimes they start to peel off a drop toner on different parts of the transfer unit as it's moving.

Re: hp color lj 4700
Just notice in picture one, the test sheet is from a CLJ 4600 printer. Anyway, the troubleshooting procedure is the same.Leave a comment:

Re: hp color lj 4700
Use the disable cartridge in the diagnostic menu. Remove all toner cartridges and insert one cartridge at time until print defects appears, that way you will know which cartridge(s) is causing the problems.
Looks like the magenta and cyan are defective cartridges.Leave a comment:

Using Reman Toners?
I would start with the Magenta cause in the pic I see a Red Haze on the front side. Pretty sure that's the issue. Let us knowLeave a comment:
