Dear guys, thank you all for the support.
The problem is solved ... and the story, for the moment, it seems over ..

I thought about it a lot, this morning I tried to insert some shims in the tensioner springs, and 86:01 went away.
Really strange, but these are the facts.
The belt is aftermarket, like original oem, but obviously it has a problem of length or resistance.
I inserted about 5mm of thickness to increase the tension of the belt, the vibrations are very low, and again you can see that in the inversion of the movements the tensioner works a lot.
Now I will test the plotter, but I am confident that the problem is solved.

How many times it happens that the solution is always the simplest ..., I think you happen to think the same way.
But sometimes we get lost in difficult paths.
The important thing is to have solved the matter, now I can go on vacation more relieved ..
    One more week to job.

Good weekend at all, thanks very much!!
    Massimo.

No, there is no spring. It just sort of floats in that slot.

The belt is new, frankly I do not observe any particular hopping, but I want to move the motor downwards just to give more pressure to the belt and consequently to all the carriage.
Now I do, I'll let you know...

    update.
the engine can't be moved much, but it didn't help to move it.
there is a vibration on the belt but nothing excessive, I find it normal.

is there one thing I would like to ask, is the top bushing simply inserted into the carriage niche without anything else? there is no stabilizer such as a spring?
from the manual I don't see any information about it, and I would not like that the first time I disassembled it I had lost something ...

Seriously, you have made a pertinent observation, I do not observe any friction in the sliding of the carriage without power.

But a vibration is triggered right in the center just before it stops, I am convinced that some effect is caused by the tension of the belt but I don't know how to fix it.

    Hi Kiran,

I cleaned the axis and tried various lubricants, Teflon, for weapons, in short, nothing pasty, the carriage runs without problems or friction.

I am thinking of lowering the motor slightly, maybe using only one screw, jast for testing.

I wish I knew what to add. Dumb question but have you lubricated the carriage rails? And with what?

It IS possible to put the belt/tensioner on backwards, pulling the belt off to one side instead of running straight. I've had that experience on a 4500 once. Assuming you have the covers off yet, you can watch the trajectory of the belt as it moves across the printer. When it gets near the tensioner it may show some deflection instead of running in a straight line, throwing off the counts of the encoder strip or causing extra resistance in the carriage movement.

When the power is off and you move the carriage by hand, does it exhibit any resistance in the same place where it's stopping when powered up?

Following this thread because it's an interesting problem and anxious to see the solution.

Finally the bushing arrived, I mounted them and the problem is exactly the same!
The engine remains to be replaced, but is it possible that it has no problems at low speed and when it turns faster it brakes or slows down?
The plotter worked before the belt broke.

    Anyone have suggestions?

    Thanks, Massimo

I certainly cleaned the motor pulley and removed any remnants of the old belt, but the tensioner has a fixed position and is not adjustable.
As I said before if I loosen it the defect remains but the block area moves.
I ordered the bushings, we'll see when they arrive.
    have a good weekend.

I always have to do this! I carry a couple picks and a brass-wire brush for just this purpose.

    hi Kiran,
i also cleaned the guide you are talking about, the plastic bushing works perfectly.
Even the tubes are well positioned and do not interfere with the movement of the carriage.
Yes the bushings can be removed, I have cleaned and reassembled them several times, even reversing them, but the defect remains the same ..
The main bushings have a slight movement, they do not adhere perfectly to the axis.
But, if I remember correctly, this is also the case on the 500/800 ..
I haven't tried without heads, but they don't touch bottom.

    Massimo

    EDIT
I forgot to mention that I have run the axis test and passed the encoder check phase when the carriage moves to the right slowly to restart quickly to the left, immediately it stops with code 86:01.

There is a 2nd rail up in back of the carriage that it slides along. Make sure this is clean. I've run into a similar issue and found this rail was caked with ink.

If it's not that, I'm not sure what to suggest. Make sure the tube assembly is installed correctly and not broken, it can cause interference at the carriage where it mounts to it.

At any time did you remove or attempt to remove the bushings in the carriage? If they're not installed correctly that could have an effect on how the carriage rides (namely the height of it.) I don't recall if they can be removed like on the 500.

Does it have the same problem with the printheads removed?
