I have a customer that that has an HP Laserjet P3015 that gets a jam on the first print job of the day. They clear the jam and power down the printer to reset it and after that they can run it all day without a jam. They use the printer a lot during the day with no jams. The jam codes it gets is 41.03.00 and 13.06.00 for each jam. The 41.03.00 is an incorrect paper size error and the 13.06.00 is a jam in the fuser ass. There is only one tray on the printer. I have replaced the pickup roller and the separation pad. There are 248,600 pages printed, and it is hooked up on a network using a static IP address. Several users use the printer.

agree with " those suck "
BUT 268,xxx on it there is more than just the 'noids pads...
I betcha he notices a LOT of 'white gear dust' once he pulls the fuser out..Those unit lost lube really quick too.. shafts are probably wobbly as shit.
PIA job.. just depends on how long you want between re-calls.Comment

Re: HP P3015 jams on first print of the day.
What is the tray set to as far as paper size and type? I have seen on older HP's that if it is set to "ANY" on either one, they can get picky. Or, if it is set to a specific size, change it to "ANY." Some firmwares are weird like that. I've seen it mostly on smaller color HP's. I would like at solenoids too, or the entire tray 2 pickup assembly.
Good luck!Comment
