Hi Everyone, I've been searching for a drive image for a designjet 800PS 42" and this is the most recent forum I've found where it's mentioned. Can anyone send me a link to the image and any relevant info (Passwords) I'll need to clone it to a replacement drive? I'm going to attempt to put it on a CF drive and use that instead of a spinning drive. I really appreciate the assistance!

I don´t know if this will help but i found a way to make my HP Designjet T770 to work again when system kept crashing:
As it seems, the firmware had damage, when turning on it will stay on boot loading screen (not the one with the HP Logo, but the one with a sand clock spinning, but in this case that clock screen wasn't spinning at all), didn't let me go further pas that screen so when lift the lid the system just crashed (Error 79:04 if i can remember correctly)

So, i just did a lot of research and learnt how to clone its hard drive:
-Just plug in to a Linux machine, open terminal, and execute the following commands (without the initial number symbol):

              # sudo su # hdparm --user-master u --security-disable "MartaLaiaDesiree" /dev/sdb

this two commands did just let me unlock the drive wich is protected by password (don´t ask me where i found it), so then i did a clone the original Hitachi 160GB HDD to a WD 500GB HDD (can be done with a lot of tools, i did make my clone with MacriumReflect in windows 11)

I did boot the now unlocked drive on my pc just for fun and it is just Linux OS (didnt boot at all, just kept on "Kernel Loaded")

So now, i did put the clone on my printer and it worked exactly as the original drive, but also had the error, so then i tried with the Pre-Boot menu options with up and ok buttons pressed while turning on (I don´t remember exactly witch option did i choose) and voila!, it works now.

Then i did maintenance because was without use for a long time and is working now

Also, i discovered a bug, when you press the option to replace the printing headers, open the lid and then you leave a long time (more than five minutes), the system gave me an error and when restart it will keep crashing again, it happened with old and new firmware but i did solve it again just with the pre-boot menu option.
I know cloning my drive wasn't necessary at all, but i´m happy i did, my old hard drive can die anytime anyway.

Note: Also, it seems that at least this model (T770 With HDD) has a backup partition to auto reinstall its os, because other models where reporting just 80GB used and the remaining wasted non-formatted space but mine had the entire 160GB allocated and no space left

Good morning everyone, I have a problem with my designjet t1200.
The plotter is still working for now, sometimes it gives the error 7904, it does not allow me to update the firmware, I think the hard disk is damaged.
I would like to make a clone before it breaks or if anyone has the working system for desigjet t1200 I would be grateful.
                Can someone help me please.

Many thanks to anyone who can help me

You PMed me but for whatever reason the system doesn't let me reply. I don't have any resources for the T1200. Hopefully someone else in this thread will respond.
