HP M578 line down the page - is it a burned out LED?

Hello, I cleaned everything - the slit glass, the upper white plate, etc.
There was nothing there that would cause the line such as an invisible mark, etc.
So I am left wondering if the LED at that point is burned out.
Has anyone seen this before.
