Re: HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M681 - Unsupported disk
It depends on whether the partition is encrypted or not. It works on some machines. Never had any luck with plotters though. Worth a shot to try on a couple of the newer E77XXX ones and see.Leave a comment:

Re: HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M681 - Unsupported disk
As Spud42 said,
you need to use an HP HDD, however, once you have a good drive you can create a clone of it with hdd raw copy tool and store it for future used. You'll then be able to use any SSD drive and write your cloned partition to it.Leave a comment:

Re: HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M681 - Unsupported disk
HP printers have to have a HP HDD used. unlike other makes you cant just use any old HDD.
HP has a small partition thats encrypted before the main partition.
Unsupported disk tells me you tried a non HP HDD.Leave a comment:

HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M681 - Unsupported disk
Hi.
In the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M681 copier HDD has a disk failure. After replacing the disk and trying to upload the firmware, the device shows the error "99.09.60 - Unsupported disk". I tried with a 320 GB and 500 GB drive (this was the original one). I tried to format these drives, make an option from the "Secure/Erase" and "erase / unlock" menus. Unfortunately, nothing helps. Maybe someone have such a problem? Does the drive have to be ordered from the manufacturer and has it originally loaded with some software?
