The 4001 DNE (DNE Specifically) will not accept any compatible toners. All the compatibility settings are turned of yet won't accept any compatible toners. Apparently this is a known issue since there are several after market companies that state that their cartridges (x and A) will not work in the DNE models. Just thought I would check with you guys before I threw in the towel. Thanks

These new printers appear to be shipped with a specific code that knows when a non OEM is installed. I haven't seen it during initial install either.
I don't know if it can be changed with a full factory reset.
HP's new way of keeping themselves locked into toner sales.
