When you say fix, what do you mean? Did you have an issue with it or did the machine ask for one? If the machine ask for one, the reset is in the menu. So new or old you will have to tell the machine you changed it. In the menu, there is a section for resets, it is easy to find because HP made it for an end user to do. If you had any other problem, throw it away and put a new one in, HP did not make them to be repaired. About the only problem I have ever had with an HP belt is when the machine starts throwing out blank paper. The solution...Change the transfer belt. Also the belt would be a supply item on any machine and not covered under warranty. It probably has a life of about 120,000 to 150,000.Leave a comment:

Thanks for your reply.Actualy im copier tech,im not familiar with hpclj5500 machine, my friend wanted me to help him to fix the ITB unit because the machine is out of warranty,he already order the unit to be replace.Any advice on how to fix the unit?Thanks.Leave a comment:

As far as HP is concerned the only way to fix it is to replace it. That is all you can do.Leave a comment:
