I'm looking for volunteers willing to help building a wiki/project page for open source contributions, modifications and add-ons for HP large format printers.
As some of you might know, the latest DesignJet printers use an embedded Linux operating system which could be used to extent the functionality of these devices.
Possible uses would be:
The first "big steps" have already been done. The printer firmware is unlocked and an SSH/Rlogin access to the operating system is possible.
I'm now looking for people who are interested in spending some of their free time on this project.

- Provide powerful maintenance, repair and servicing tools
- add media profiles for non-HP media
- customize the look and functionality of the embedded web pages (EWS)
- unlock possibly hidden features
- ...
