    LJ 4345 mfp dim display

Have a 4345 mfp with a very dim display. Works OK, but cannot adjust it bright enough to read easily. Any fix for this, or just replace entire op panel? Thanks.... Jeff M.

I was hoping there would be a breakdown showing a fluorescent backlight or an inverter PWB, but no such luck. Control Panel Assy: Q3942-60102. That's your choices. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hi, blackcat, thanks for your reply. I believe the updated P/N Q3942-60140. Pretty pricey. Any suggestions as to the best place to get them? Appreciate your response. Merry Christmas (sorry, I'm not a very PC type of guy!)...Jeff M.

I agree with Blackcat. There is no way to adjust the control panel. The only thing I know is the touchpad can be calibrated but I believe that is only with the M4345mfp not the 4345mfp. In either case, this adjusts the touchpad not the darkness of the characters. So your only recourse is to replace it.

Thanks, guys. Now let's see if they want to spring for a new op panel. Happy New Year! Regards... Jeff M.
