    [Misc] HP 4345 mfp (Q3943A) losing fax and email configuration if power is reset

    Have an HP 4345 mfp that loses the fax and email config whenever it is power cycled. The IP config and other settings remain. Is this a firmware issue? Is there an extra step somewhere I am missing to save this info properly?

      This may be a formatter issue. Is it ask for time and date every time too?

          If I remeber correctly the date and time is ok. I did replace the hard drive a little while back, and I did initialize it at that time. From what I can tell - it appears this info is stored on the hard disk - am I correct in this assumption?? This one is a puzzler...

              ok, got back to it. It loses "Location" which is country setting and time, but the date is retained. Interestingly it appears that the hour field is changing but not minutes - probably due to country setting defaulting back to GMT. Hope this helps.
