Hey all, I have a lot of these in the field , & have decided to start rebuilding the fusers myself due to cost concerns. I ordered a few of the fuser films, but sometimes it doesnt seem to work. About half of the time, the film doesn't want to turn freely, which causes fuser jams. It seems like a pretty simple design, so I must be missing something. Any comments?

Re: Hp 4000/4100
Are you cleaning off all the sleeve lubricant, and applying new sleeve lubricant? Do you replace the pressure roller at the same time? How about the pressure roller bushings?
I've had 100% success on rebuilding HP fusers, but I record the count, any errors, and quality issues, then stuff the documentation into the box. When rebuilding, I've got a good history of each unit.
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Can't use just any lubricant. Better to use OEM sleeves.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".Comment

Re: Hp 4000/4100
Thanks for the comments. No, I haven't been replacing the LFRs, they seemed in perfect condition. As for the grease, I've tried different kinds, even light katun lube oil, didn't seem to make a difference, These are afteremarket sleeves, though. Just weird that a new sleeve will work in one fuser I'm rebuilding, but not another.Comment

Use Uniflor:
Listing S4800
This is the right stuff. I would not use anything else. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
