One of our clj4700dtn units has started repeating various jobs endlessly (ie, 28 page job reprints over and over, 12 page job, etc).

Only certain jobs trigger this behaviour, so I assumed this was a Postscript issue (HP PS emulation is pretty buggy) until I factory reset the machine, printed configuration from the panel (nothing connected to the printer), went for coffee and came back to 500 copies of the page on the output tray (it'd run out of paper)

The endless printing can be stopped, but only by cancelling just as a repeat starts. Cancelling partway thorugh a repeat results in that print aborting, but the machine moves onto the next repeat and carries on.

Power cycling doesn't help either. The machine begins repeating as soon as it finishes its cycles.

Remote monitoring shows the number of pages for a job as being the actual number printed. It's almost as if the thing has toggled to 9999 copies whlie still showing 1 on the web and front panels.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour? I suspect a bad CF card but would like confirmation if possible.

The machine has 750,000 prints on it. We use a 620N EIO card because the onboard LAN was too susceptable to lockups (it'd wedge 3 times per day). The other printer has 650,000 pages on it and is fine. They're both running the same firmware and hardware revisions.
