    HP CM6030/6040 - awful ADF's?

Does anyone know what the recommended monthly volume is for the adf's on these machines?

Pretty much every single one I see jams or pulls through multiples pages at a time! Even fitting a brand new adf kit doesn't solve it.

I have now started modifying the friction pads to try and improve the issues!

Has anyone else seen this and/or found a better solution?

    Cheers.

I only have a handful of these out there and have had no problems at all with the ADFs on any of them, mostly fusers...they don't like full page color too much.

Document feeders with spearation pads suck and always have.
My question is why put a crappy adf system on a nice printer. Spend a little more and design a a good adf , one with beefy 3 rollers system like copiers what the hell is wrong with you HP?

        Agreed Bill,

I believe the 6030 and 6040's are branded as MFP's (Multi Function Printer) so it certainly feel the ADF is just a cheapo add-on. Very frustrating as I quite like the machine but our customers are getting frustrated at how crap the feeder is!

Wish HP would build a better ADF for it or come out with a mod.
