    MAC adress for FS-4000DN

    Hey,
I have an FS-4000DN, which has lost its MAC address after flashing. It takes the address 00-00-00-00-00-00 instead of 00-C0-EE-68-54-AA. How can I do to recover?

Have you printed off a Service Status page since the Firmware Upgrade? Be sure to check and see if the page count is the same as it was before flashing... We've seen that if you lose the MAC address, the page count gets screwed as well...

The copy count is ok, but no serial number.
So how can I do to rewrite them?

I haven't experienced this personally, but I think you'll need to call the hotline. They'll jump onto the customers network and make the desired changes. Maybe PreScribe commands? I don't know, but it's done remotely. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Upgrade the firmware to the most recent version. In the firmware Zip-file is a utility which you can use to restore the MAC-adress. Run this utlilty after the firmware upgrade. I don't recall the name of this utility but it's somewhere is the Zip-file.

Hey Eric1968, I Upgrade the firmware but I didn't get the utility to restore the MAC-adresse. So let me know if you recall the name. Thanks.

You'll have to get a Kyocera rep involved to restore the MAC and/or serial number. There are Prescribe commands for each of these tasks, but they are not published in any of the Prescribe manuals.
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

How True ...... I had a FS-4020DN just last week that we had to call the Help Desk about . They did a remote link to my PC and reset the serial number and page count , etc , through command Center .

Call the Hotline, they can remote in and fix this.

Im going to check with the KMNet View utility when I get back Monday, could've sworn I saw a field for editing serial no. and I was like "why would this be needed?? hmm??" . And now I know lol. Weird. After a firmware update? I'll keep my eyes peeled. I like those little FS DN's... Dang.
