FS 3140 - How to reset Web Password?

Hi..

web admin password for FS 3140 is admin00 and some user has change it and forget that password.
so how can we reset that password ?

This is my first post on the forum, but I have been using it for a while now for information on kyocera machines.

Thanks to all for this great forum and your knowledge you share.

Now to my question. I have the exact same problem as above and i have read the forum to try and get a solution, but nothing worked. I have tried the password and engine reset prescribe commands and there is no u21 on the fs3140 model i have.

Can anyone help me with this please?

You will probably have to call the helpdesk : they should be able to 'REMOTE' to this unit and reset it.

One customer changed the admin password and didn't remember it. I also tried Prescribe commands, but ended up with replacing the mainboard.

Hi all,

I was able to solve my problem .

I could not find the simulation U21 in service mode and then I read about a secret service mode.


This is the secret code that worked on the fs-3140

Got into the secret service mode and found sim U21. I ran it and tada! All works fine now and the password for web interface was reset back to admin00.

Just remember to run sim U917 and backup everything to a usb stick and also take not of your network settings.

I searched the forum for a second level or secret service mode and came up on this code. I have tried it on a fs-3640 and it does not work on that particular machine, so I think it only works for a certain range/year machine being released. Other models might have different codes, not sure.

The code worked for us on several machines... FS1128MFP, FS3140MFP & CS8030. Not sure why it would work on all of these but not on the FS3640MFP

You can't, you have to call Kyocera tech support to walk you thru procedure.

Thanks! I may never need this but it's nice to have in your back pocket. I found out it also works on the 520i.
