    FS-4020, drum install

Is there a setting up procedure when a new drum is being installed in a FS-4020? Customer scratched his drum with 100K and I have to replace it but am with no knowledge about the machine. Maintenance kit reached 100K.

    Thanks

No set up. The machine recognizes the new EEPROM, and runs a calibration without your intervention.

Keep in mind that that normally it's the primary charge that gets coated with ozone that causes the quality problems. Sometimes you can clean it. Sometimes it doesn't help enough. The primary charge is available separately, and has been modified several times along the way.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Thanks Cat.

The drum is scratched by a dumbfuck who tried to remove a jammed paper with a pair of scissors.....
