[Error Code] Kyocera FS-4300 J0105 Jam Code

I have a Kyocera FS-4300DN that constantly reports a paper jam when I turn it on and thjer is no paper in the printer. After patiently reseting the printer over and over, I can get it to go to READY and print a Event Log using eventlog.capt.

Under the Counter Log J0105 is the one that keeps increasing however, there is no mention of J0105 in the service manual.

Anyone who has seen this problem before? Thanks

Look on page 1-4-3 of the service manual. Paper does not reach the registration roller.

According to the jam log 0105 means warm up request time out. So it seems that the fuser temp is not reaching its working temp within its time period. This could be the fuser or engine pwb and possibly low voltage power supply. kyocera usa tech support may offer you some solution if you are a kyocera dealer.
remove fuser connections and reinstall, if fail replace fuser unit. Thanks to kyocera with their generous dealer warranty.
These are super fast nice machines, very little maintenance. one of the best printers out there.

Maybe KYO FAN has some other ideas as to this problem.

under event log in the service manual for the m3530dn ... this is the same family of machines.

Looking at that event log, I'm more concerned about those 0800 error codes you've had, which are connected to that jam:

Before replacing the main pwb, i would try updating firmware and testing a bit since there's like a month newer version out.

correction on the warranty for this machine. Its 1 year for dealer, so you most likely is out of luck with warrranty service. The latest firmware is august 2014, so your firmware is current from what i see in the pic. If you have another machine, you may have to do some swapping out the determine where the solution and then order replacement parts.

Re: Kyocera FS-4300 J0105 Jam Code

Thank you for the help. Kyocera Tech support finaly confirmed that J0105 was a fuser process error code. Still a bit hesitant about their explanation which I have observed that the fuser does look like it has reached operation temperature and cycles to maintain the temperature.

So before I put another $150 for a new fuser unit, I decided to take the fuser unit apart and discovered that one of the fuser lamps was broken. So I took on the lamp from one of fuser I replaced in the past and it actually worked.

Now my question is, with one lamp broken, shouldn't it have thrown a error code?
