SMB scanning on Lexmark XM7263

My friend has a Lexmark XM7263 and wants me to setup scanning to computer. I have searched for instructions and cannot seem to find them. I have setup other manufacture copiers for SMB scanning but this one seems different. Any ideas or help would be great. Thanks.

I Don't actually have a lot of experience with the Lexmarks especially on the interface of the screen. But in my experience of having to figure out other brands before the best way to setup anything on the machine is thru the web interface of the machine. Poke around in there and I'm sure you'll figure it out.

I have. You know how it is. Each manufacture has its own vocabulary and ways of doing things. I will stay with it until I get it.

have you setup a scans folder and allowed all of the shared permissions? and under networking and sharing do you have the file and printer sharing turned on? and then setup the scans through the embedded webserver for the lexmark 7263?

you are aware that the "network/admin" manual IS available for FREE?
