Lexmark t640 bar code card

Hey all, I've got a customer with an old Lexmark T640 printer that has the bar code card in it to print out the bar codes on the program they run. The printer bit the dust, can anyone recommend what they can upgrade to that will print the bar codes? I'm mainly a kyocera and HP tech, apparently they don't print them correctly. Do they need to stay with Lexmark? Do the newer ones require the bar code card option or is it built in to them now?

We just replaced some X's with Lexmarks and the customer required bar code printing. Instead of adding the Forms and Cardcode Card at $400+ I suggested we install one to test if it would print their barcodes. It did.
