    Okidata C9650DN duplex jam

Wondering if anyone out there knows of a common issue with these duplex units and jamming? Have a customer in a Clerk and Recorder's office that have 2 of these units they ONLY use for ballot printing. Both printers have fairly low page counts (less than 15k) and both I'm told have habit of jamming the paper in the reversing section on occasion when duplexing. I'm suspect of the eject solenoid in the eject section, but there's no part number listed for it in Oki's book so the only way to replace it is with replacing the entire ejection assembly. The 3 most common error codes on the event log are 370, 382, and error 391 paper jams.

Was this a common failing on these? Is there a part number someone knows of for the solenoid? Yes it can be cleaned but it's not jamming often enough to test for sure if that's truly the problem plus they can only push sample ballots through it which are all odd ball sizes of paper. I was able to see it jam one time only and it looked as though it crashed into the flipper gate in the reverse/exit assembly.

    Any help or ideas appreciated

Only thing you can do is try a new duplexer. We have replaced many of them on various oki machines.

Going by what the customer told me (grain of salt), they swapped the duplexer with the other unit and got the same result. That being said, given the limited amount that can be run and the infrequency of the jams, still leaves me to wonder if there's 2 bad duplex trays, or 2 bad exit sections.
