OKI Fatal error 980

hi there
customer has an oki c711 - had a paper jam in the fuser.
Cleared the jam, but could not remove the fatal error 980 message.
Bought a brand new oki c711 fuser unit, replaced it in printer.
still cannot clear the fatal error 980 message!
any ideas?
Ive googled the error and there are loads people complaining about the same issue - new fuser not clearing the error- but no solutions !

Error 980 means that the error by media clinging to the fuser and the fuser is required to be replaced, Its a fuser wrap around jam and the fuse in the new fuser will reset the code. Not sure if there is a mode in service which should sort this. unless there is a duff sensor on the paper exit.

Usually a Fuser related error.We have had some caused by the connector to the fuser assembly.
