Kip 700M J1003 jam in mid transportation

we looked at a Kip 700M that has this message- J1003 jam in mid transportation.

it also had a paper jam in the fuser unit. we removed that but don't see any paper anywhere else.

Tried looking through a copy of the Kip 700M service manual and don't see that code listed. Or the words mid transportation.

I see J-0103 / 0203 Roll Deck Feeder Jam and J-1300...any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I'm more surprised than you that I found this. And I actually remember the call:

    Kip 700m
"Paper jam in mid-transportation." won't clear.

The corner from the last page off the roll obstructs the paper path at the right, but is not detected as a jam. The first page from the new roll hits the obstruction, advances only 103mm, is cut, then stalls between the 2nd and 3rd set of rollers because it is too short.

Remove the s/t unit. Using a small pointy tool nudge the paper trimming towards the rear reaching through the teardrop shaped sensor opening, a few mm at a time. Eventually you will be able to reach an end at the curved guide.

On this same 700m I had to MacGuyver a new strip/separation sensor PH2 switch flag, after the enduser snapped it off flush.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We went back and our tech ended up removing and cleaning some of the sensors under/near the transfer separation unit and some guide plate.

The machine had some toner in it. Thinks toner got on some of the sensors. Started feeding again after doing that. One of the things the account said was it had some toner inside.
