Re: Zebra ZT610 label printer
... Zebra OEM printheads are expensive in the $1100 - $1500 range.
What is the DPI? 200 or 300 DPI?
Is the printer operating in Direct thermal mode using coated paper or Thermal transfer mode using a printer ribbon?
Direct thermal mode wears out printheads much faster.
A comparable Toshiba printhead (will not work in a Zebra) sells for under $300.00 .
You can get non OEM printheads from

You need to acquire a 200 DPI printhead. A 300 DPI printhead could requre a print driver reinstall.Comment

Re: Zebra ZT610 label printer
Good morning guys, well... I was taken advantage of by what I thought was an actual technician. I received this message from this guy, thinking it was safe to send him money and I was wrong!! Here is the message he sent me.

I sent him $350.00 for a printhead through PayPal and after I sent the money, the next morning he sent a message saying he was off on the shipping and fees, and he wanted another $100.00 to cover his costs... I said no way and it went down hill from there. I am so pissed off, I am usually the guy who is skeptical of things like this, but he got me. He used the name Joshua Guillory... He then sent another request for me to send money to this email address Bharding4242@yahoo.com. Using the name Brad Harding. He sent me a private message on here. This is his user name.. lajigvdjj
His email address he used was helppeoplefriends@gmail.com
Maybe you guys can blow up his emails telling him to refund my money.Comment

Re: Zebra ZT610 label printer
Thanks for the sympathy.... I feel bad enough, getting a message through this tech website I figured it was safe, my bad.
I guess approaching a tech website where there is undoubtedly more authorized service centers that would discount apart to a fellow tech would be asking too much? I didn't say I wanted it for free I just didn't want to pay retail so that I'm able to make a buck. That's all nothing more... Lesson learnedLast edited by copykat93; 03-25-2023, 03:23 PM.Comment

Just saw this thread. If it ever becomes a need again we know a direct manufacturer that sells the same OEM part in a plain box at around 60% of what OEM with OEM packaging costs. They have most makes and models 300 dpi printheads are normally more expensive than a 203 dpi, at least be thankfull it wasnt a 600dpi printhead.
