    Samsung CLX-3160FN

Samsung printer model CLX3160fn, I have ordered 2 fusing units for this machine from J&J International, supposedly an authorized samsung parts dealer. The original fuser had a jamming problem because of a damaged hot roller but fit into the printer fine. With all 4 screws in place the replacement fusers (2) from J&J International when installed seems to be somehow out of alignment when all 4 screws are installed making the exit sensor flag not line up with the exit sensor mounted on the wall of the printer.

Is this a problem anyone has seen or heard of before, is this something I'm doing wrong? Samsung suggested buying a manual stating covers that should be removed to remove and install this fusing unit, fine but if thats the case why does the original fuser drop in right now and runs with with no problem except for the blemished hot roller.

That's BS about removing covers, etc. etc. That fuser releases with four screw and drawing back the spring loaded drive to the exit roller. You just can not get all four screws in, and it still be misaligned. Even warped fuser frames are generally pulled back into shape by snugging the screws. Can you snap a few photos? You've got me curious.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You were right and wrong "Black Cat" about the screws and covers BS. You do have to remove the covers and top deck to see that the original screws are not holding the fuser in snuggly enough, the cheap designed plastic screw holes stripped out very easily, evidently on the first fuser replacement.

Fix: Get bigger screws, but it still doesn't explain why the original fuser dropped in and ran with no problem, even with screws that didnt fit snuggly, like Black Cat said, a snug fit will make a warped fuser comform, which is what happened in the end......in my opinion.
