Four possibilities come to mind:
1) Broken alignment pins on one of the the developing units where it slides in.
2) Poor connection at the contact set where the developing units slide in. (Loss of developer bias).
3) Blown HVT (on the power supply)
4) Bad engine controller.
In that order. Hope for #1 or #2. They are relatively inexpensive. If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Cheers for the reply, its not the pins as i have replaced all the dev units, all the contacts seem to be touching and this affects all colours, not just one. im suspecting a bad controller, i will try to swap it for another from a spare as the hv board is a bit labour intensive to replace.Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essentialComment
