[Error Code] Tech mode for clx-3175 ?

Hello, Please how to Enter the TECH MODE of Samsung CLX-3175, there no key pad in my printer just menu and left/rigt arrows and stop , start buttons,
Please also tell me which is the best ckt and program to read/write the EEProm of this printer or how to Reset the toner CHIP ?

Thanks for your help, as i told in my POST there is no numeric keys in my printer,just the big menu key with left/right arrow and two start one for color and the other is for black copy.please need help for how to reset the Toner chip also.

Then it's not a CLX-3175. Could it be the printer engine CLP-315?

My friend it is CLX-3175 simple with out fax and networking, I download CLX-3175 driver and Smart panel from SAMSUNG site and it works fine, if it is other model then how can it works with CLX-3175 driver ?

This is a CLX-3175. You must have something else.
Sometimes if you use the wrong print driver it can work. Not consistently, but its possible.

Thanks blackcat for your kind help, It is not a MFP it is in Black color and simple CLX 3175, I you search samsung web you will find CLX 3175 in black color and the Panel is with out numeric keys,

Hello, I also have a Samsung CLX-3175, and it's without a keypad, but you can enter Tech mode by clicking certain keys in sequence, I finally get into tech mode, although what I wanted to do was to reset the page counter to STOP the 'Empty Toner' error, I cleared page CNT, but to no effect so if anyone here experienced with tech mode, can please tell me what to do from there I will appreciate it!

In fact It's possible to enter the password once you get thereby clicking LEFT and RIGHT, right moves up the count and Left moves down, so Right, goes 1, 2, 3 ... so one, and left goes 0, 9 ... 1, after you enter 1934, you have to click OK each time you enter a number.

Random I've had this before and had to work it out, literally just went to one again expecting there to be a number pad and have fallen into the same trap.

How do you get into tech mode its Menu ID copy something or other isn't it?

Sidenote: Is this a UK thing or what? Even the service manual I have just says to type the numbrs in.

To enter Tech Mode on a Samsung CLX 3175 (the black machine without numeric keys)

With the machine at ready to copy....

Press Menu, Copy ID, Left, Right, Menu, Back

The next time you press the menu key you can navigate the tech menu, if you try to do anything of significance in there it will ask for a password which is the usual 1934, use the arrow keys to change the number and press OK to move on to the next one and Ok again when finished.

Any error lights or maintenance messages you expect to clear will remain until you exit tech mode which im sure there's a way to do but turning the machine off and on seems to do the trick.
