[Misc] Updating MPC306zsp & mpc3004zsp Smart Panel Firmware

    Hi all,

i'm looking to update a few of my 306 & 3004 smart panels, has anyone been doing this, is it done the regular way package.pkg file on SD card, or downloading the smart ops firmware & update it directly via the panel SD slot!?

    Any info would be appreciated.

You can use the package method (it does take a while to complete, ignore on screen messages and reboots).

Personally I still prefer to download the individual files and update everything manually in stages.

    SOP Widgets
    Main Machine
    Java SDK

There is also the AFU which downloads the latest .pkg if the machine has internet access.
The last I heard that service wasn't live yet, but that was a few months ago and I've not tried it.

Have only done this once. You will need to download the SOAP firmware .zip files, don't unzip them, the panel does this itself. Put onto an SD card and insert it into the panel's SD card slot.

Remove the small panel on the side of the OP panel, behind will be three buttons. Reboot the machine, whilst it is booting hold the first and third buttons. When the first screen appears, release the buttons and hold the first and second buttons.

The android firmware screen should appear after a few seconds. The side buttons then become the navigation controls, for scroll and select.
