If there's one thing dying off faster than faxing in general it's international faxing.
It looks like your're in Wales, and I don't know what your rates would be, but in the US you'd be eaten alive by the charges.
Keep in mind that you will almost certainly be charged for calls that connect and fail, right along with the successful ones. I once had a customer with line problems (local to their area) that went ballistic when they got their phone bill for all the failed faxes to various locations in Europe. Somehow, it was our fault.

Ask the customer if they know what it's costing them.
This will be the best reason to switch from faxing to scan to email you may ever find.
