    ricoh spc410

    hi friends
    in ricoh color multifunction spc410 when we give a print job, the display in m/c shows 'printing' and hang. firmwares upgraded and memory also upgraded and network is perfect. what can be the possibilities?

    Have you checked that documents are spooling up and clearing the print queue ok on the server side?

    The RPCS raster driver can produce some huge spool sizes which can take a while to transfer across the network.
    It might be worth testing the printer directly with a laptop off the customers network to see if you can recreate the problem.

      Ditch the rpcs and go to the pcl driver. Rpcs is pretty but not that pretty.

      What type of port are you using?? direct lpt1, ip,raw or lpr...?

        its using static IP port and now m/c has been connected in usb for testing and its working well. And no other printer in this network has such pbm.

          Have you tried it with a ps driver or pcl driver on the network as toner bomb suggests, also what documents are causing the problems? All or just some, i have seen some files turn in to monsters once spooled.
