    [Error Code] SPC410DN - SC241 re-occured after a long period of time

    Hi there,

Anno 11/2008 we had a SPC410 with SC241 (faulty Y-LDB). Back then we swapped the LDB and the same error occured a month later wich lead my collegue to swap the engine board as well (the machine had warranty back than^^).

Well now, after ~1,5 years, the same error is back and I can't imagine that the same parts went bad again. I also can't imagine that these parts where the initial problem. I think there might be a faulty polygon motor or sync detector board or a harness but on the other hand these parts should lead to other SC codes and/or disorted images wich isn't the case.

Anyone had a experience with this sc?

Have you tried upgrading the firmware to the latest level?

According to the rep-history the last FW update has been performed early 2009 - haven't checked the change log tbh.

I have had weird faults like this before. Firmware flash or upgrade cures it. Other than that looks like your looking at a new laser unit unfortunately.

Yeah but after checking the prices for the laser parts I suppose that this is going to be a total loss for the customer who hasn't a service contract for the machine. Like for the example just the polygon mot + pwp is >400€ exl. VAT.

Yeah I can imagine it won't be cheap. This is situations where the customer can benefit from a maintenance contract and we (the dealers) loose out. The part number I can find for the complete Laser Unit is (G159 1850 - Laser Assembly).
