You may also need to have custom firmware installed by a technician to allow scan-to-folder to Windows server 2003 (2008 server will be troublesome as well).

May i know what custom firmware that you are mentioning here? Cause Im having problem to connect to Windows Server 2003 version too...

Ricoh issued custom firmware to resolve issues with packet signing that was included in Server 2003. The firmware is only available to authorised Ricoh technicians.

Turn Off SMB packet signing on the 2003 server. It will expose the server a bit to improperly formed IP packets. It will be up to the customer to decide.

I hope this is the same on a km 4050. I have a customer after 3 years decided he didn't want to scan to e-mail anymore and want to scan to fold. Thnaks for the info.
