[Electrical] Ricoh Aficio AP3800c

I have a problem when switching on, no display visible even though machine seems to be powering up
any help would be appreciated

It is a printer and not a copier, it has no copier functionality at all, If I power off and hold menu and escape key the red error lite comes on, cannot get it to go to online, If I hold the Menu and # key the data light comes on.
I am perplexed

Now all the lights are on power/error/online still not working cannot print no error on display????????t

It is possible it was a 3800cmf. You wont get a display because it was configured as a copier , the lcd on the printer portion was disabled.

The copier portion was a seperate piece, I just thought with the age of the printer maybe someone bought/inherited it and the copier part was missing. Once the scanner portion was attached to the printer base the lcd was disabled.

I checked gooses guide and ricoh and there are no hits on lcd problems. Possibly a loose wire harness?


I remember having a few of these in the field, you couldnt print 25 full color pages in a row or the fuser would disintegrate, and you couldnt print on paper over 32lb bond or registrations issues cropped up.
