Hello everyone, new to the forum and hoping someone could help with the following: I purchased a Ricoh CL7300 off eBay several months ago. After printing no more than 50-100 pages, I got a 'Add Toner Black' error message and could no longer use the printer. The toner was far from empty. I got back to the chap I purchased the printer from and he suggested changing the toner, which I did but without success. I was then advised to also change the black developer which I again did and this time the message disappeared and everything seemed to be working OK. Several months (and probably no more than 500-600 prints) later however, the 'Add Toner Black' message is back and the printer unusable. I have again changed the black toner without success and don't really want to go to the expense of purchasing a new black developer if this is going to happen every few hundred prints. Has anyone any suggestions to what else might be wrong or is there anyone in the Midlands region who would be willing to come and have a look for a not too exorbitant fee (postcode DE13 8AX)? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks

Re: Ricoh CL7300 Add Toner Black message
The toner pumps on these models have a tendency to get the hoses clogged, or to not have enough drive to push the toner to the developer unit. A tech will definitely be your best option on this, otherwise it could be VERY messy. -

Re: Ricoh CL7300 Add Toner Black message
As I said in the original post, the machine is fairly new to me but I believe it was using a compatible black toner when I received it.
I had previously already tried vacuumning the toner supply tube but this didn't make any difference (that is if I was doing it correctly of course).Comment
