    [Error Code] SC 325 error

This machine is a low count machine on which I have witnessed all kinds of strange things. The latest is a sc 325 error at power on.
Previous issues included an inoperable touch screen in service mode, waste toner bottle errors. This machine has also been in storage for more than 6 months. Looking for a service manual as well as any suggestions to help resolve latest code. If specifics to this code are available they would be helpful. I do have 25 years of experience on Canon products.

    thanks

    Model number?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

        SC325 Color development motor error

The motor LOCK signal is not detected for more than two seconds while the motor START signal is on.
Color development motor slip due to an increase in the torque.

        1. Adjust the torque properly by replacing or cleaning the development unit.
        2. Replace the color development motor if the load torque is normal.

Thanks Ruben. Would it not be prudent to remove and check each of the dev units to check for good rotation. This machine has sat for a while.

          Thanks again

Yes, more than likely one of the color development units is seized up and either can't or is very hard to turn.

The entire family of machines in this generation had touch panel issues. It's been covered dozens of times in the forum. Do a little search and you'll find out more. There's been a replacement P/N issued to resolve it.(P/N B223 9900)
As for the Waste toner bottler. If it's a "waste bottle not set properly" message, this happens mostly when the machine is in a cool area (such as a storage unit) the bottle 'compacts" ever so slightly due to the temperature and the machine shows the message until the area becomes warmer. There is a bulletin about this too. I fix it by simply putting a little piece of foam on the waste hopper cover door to push the bottle in a little more snugly when it's closed.
