    CL7200 fails color registration

    Hi All
I'm working on a CL7200 that the customer replaced the fuser that made the color reg. go out of adjustment. We had another tech go out to work on the printer a replaced the ID sensor but didn't fix the problem. I went out to get another set of eyes on it and cleaned the transfer belt roller under the ID sensor,
    No change.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you in advanced

These printers, and the copier versions, were always losing their registration. Make sure the transfer belt isn't slipping or pulling as well, and also see if printing on ledger or A3 paper makes any difference in the alignment, which will help you to rule out an issue with the belt.

Other than that, prepare to while away the hours making adjustments in SP mode.

When I ran the test pattern on 11 x 17 it does the same thing. I was wondering what adjustments are going to be the best to adjust to fix the problem.

      Thank you again

When doing a color registration always clean the ID sensor assembly first. If after cleaning the ID sensor the registration still keeps going out, replace the ITB assembly.
