I am moving soon so my Konica Minolta C253 is up for sale or to be 'loaned out' ...

My C253 is up for sale as I will be moving out by the 1st of April. If it won't sell then it most likely will end up in storage. Its done about 1.4 million copies and has just had all of its feed rollers changed out, It has an FS-519 finisher and an SD-505 stapling(?) module. Would a price of CDN$1500 be fair? I am located in St Catharines, Ontario, Canada. I am also thinking of loaning it out to someone, without charge, whereas they collect the unit and are responsible for all consumables (and maintenance too?) so that it can still be of use to someone but when I get a new place sorted out, take it back.

That model has been in "end of life" status for several years now and not worth much. Plus that is a very high meter. Better to donate it and take a tax write off.

      Tax write-off? I'm not a business!

But I get what you're saying. Most people get scared of buying tech that is 'end of life'. Shame, as it works really well now.

I eventually sold the printer to a local business for $600. That's only $50 less that I paid for it. They were well pleased with it. The problem with these printers is they are so big and heavy. The buyer brought along an open trailer and it was interesting to see how they tied it down. I helped with getting the printer from the house onto the trailer. I don't remember it being that heavy!!

Wow that is optimistic to say the least!

The C253 wasn't a great model from new, do yourself a favour & scrap it.
