    Head Management Sensor

Hi Guys, I am an ex Xerox tech from 15+ years ago, struggling with a Large format Canon Printer problem
Looking for a part number and possible removal procedure for Canon IPF700 Head management sensor.
Had fault code 3800500-2f2f with some copy quality issues. Head was 24months old and had done a power of work, so replaced it.
Nozzle check shows perfect copy quality on all colors but cleaning procedure is happening often and is draining the ink.
Can i just clean this sensor or does it need to be replaced? Any help appreciated. DAVE

I haven't had success with cleaning. You'll have to replace. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

thanks Blackcat. I understand that these Canons are renowned for fixing one issue and another pops up in its place.
Unsure how much coin to tip into this machine, or if now is the time to just cut my losses.
As Ive already replaced the head, and I have a whole set of new inks, should i replace this sensor too?
Any idea of the cost, and success rates with the 2f2f codes?

      Cheers

I've had maybe (6) machines that turned into the infinite money pit. And we'd get handy advice from Canon like: " ... yeah, replace all those boards a second time ... "

Personally I try to advise against spending thousands of dollars on iPF's. They'll take all the money that you've got and more. =^..^=
