there have been too many times someone has inquired about the reset tool just because they want to zero the meters and resell the machine.
its a knee jerk reaction. why do you need the reset tool? anyone that is remotely qualified/trained to use it should already have access to KM dealer site to download it themselves.
especially when someone posts for sale a fraudulent device to enable just that.

In most civilized countries it is AGAINST the law to take a used machine... clear all counters and sell as new.

IF an Indy or Dealer pulls this type shit they go to jail.

to say the least it is a pretty shitty deal for the buyer.

you can sell used product ONLY as used/refurb'd..

we don't like criminal activities here.. in fact a few forum rules state that and can get you blacklisted from CYN..

a word to the wise... just saying...

you could also earn red flags from such activities

Unfortunately, I can't find it on infohub. It is not about resetting the counters just because sometimes there are devices with a changed password for the service mode and then you can restore it to the standard one. Regards

Okay, I'm just asking. I think this forum is from that. If I upset somebody, I'm sorry.

Occasionaly a NVRAM (SSD) will reset the meters to 0, even in this case we are required to submit a form detailing what the meters were before reset. You could lose your job for not getting this done. E

passwords can be erased/changed WITHOUT setting all counters to zero..

there is no good excuse to set counters to ZERO

a properly trained tech knows this.

It's hard to explain anything to you. We have polizing machines and all their documentation including counters with which it comes to us and counters with which it goes further to the customer. We have been operating like this for 15 years and no new ones have been created. So I don't think we are nervous anymore.

As every trained tech should know starting with 4e series and up there is CE Password Reset procedure involving LMS. You just don't need to reset the whole machine for CE password.
Search infohub it should be there.

no things CAN be explained to me like... what the hell does this word mean? "polizing"

so just because for 15 years you have been going through a school zone @ 95mph.. does that make it lawful?

or does it just make you fucking lucky?
